#33: Blending In
A mama possum trudges along with her litter clinging to her back—but look closely, one of those “babies” has a shell. A turtle hitched a ride and whispers, “Don’t rat me out.” It’s a pun on possums looking rat-like, and also the turtle hiding in plain sight.

The comedy works because the turtle clearly doesn’t belong, but its sneakiness feels so human. Kids sneak into lineups, coworkers sneak onto projects—here it’s a reptile sneaking into marsupial daycare. The possum seems unfazed, but you know she’s thinking: “I did not sign up for this.”
